Academic Support Services

The Staff of DY Prep works tirelessly to assist students who are Promotion in Doubt by providing the following programs:

9th period enrichment

All teachers are available after school three days a week to provide small group support to students who need it.

Academic Achievement Academy

If students failed a course and had an attendance percentage of 75% or higher, they qualify for our AAA program. AAA courses consist of 7-8 classes where students revisit the material through project based work. When students successfully complete their assignments, they earn the credit from the previously failed class, however the highest possible grade is a 65 (or a D). Some AAA classes meet on Saturdays. Consistent attendance is required in order to successfully complete the program.

TEC PM School

As members of the Taft Educational Campus (TEC), DY Prep students who need to take a class over again may do so in evening classes which take place between 3:30pm and 6:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. Consistent attendance is required in order to successfully complete the program.
