DY Prep Student Destiny Campbell Performs at the White House

Dear Friends,

We are excited to share with you that this year, our annual Benefit raised more than ever: $650,000 and still counting! We are so grateful for all those who contributed, especially when students, families, and schools in the Bronx need support more than ever.

With your support, our progress has been remarkable. On May 11th, teaching-artists Renée Watson and Ellen Hagan escorted 10 DreamYard student poets to Washington, D.C., on the invitation of First Lady Michelle Obama and the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, to attend a day-long celebration of poetry at the White House.
