2nd Annual Arts Elective Sharing

by Kelly Rowell

The drummers, the writers, the photographers, and the dancers wonderful second annual arts sharing; it was fun and entertaining. Many friends, family members, and members of the DreamYard community came to support the student performers. There were some laughs and there were many emotional points, due to Jesica Blandon’s wonderful, real-life poem. It brought tears to our eyes. The drummer who performed was Edgar Morales. The writers who shared their works were Ben Camara, Demetrius Bryant, Larrissa Esperanza, Taneya Lewis, Adama Bangura, Jewel Griffin, Denise Cotto, Jesica Blandon and Nivays Sierra. The photographers who shared their works were Tahiana Urena, Emile Keller, Daquan Vest, Brenda Moreno, and Jerry Ruiz. The dancers who shared their works were Haydil Henriquez, Jeremy Agyemang, Cheryell Epps, Kairini Romero, Shequile Perry, Latisha Powell, Yessenia Alvarado, Maria Guzman, Najee Stith, Lyndsey Stephens, Bernice Garcia, Guy Perkins, Henry Rivera, Jene Todman, Kelly Rowell, Sienna Champion, and Kimado McDonald. We would like to give thanks to all of the elective teachers for doing a wonderful teaching job. Another thank you goes out to Ms. Wargo for putting together the sharing. For the ones who could not appear at the show, you missed out on a bunch of excitement and happiness. Thank you, Mr. Bowen, for supporting the DreamYard students and taking time out to help host the event.
